Shetland Photography Holidays are committed to reducing the environmental impact our holidays have on the islands’ landscape and wildlife. We adhere to thoroughly researched guidelines to ensure local wildlife suffer no adverse effects from our encounters. We strictly enforce the general policy to “take only pictures, leave only footprints”. We pride ourselves on the fact that our clients comply with these guidelines.

We support many conservation bodies, including Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Shetland Bird Club, Wild Scotland and the RSPB.

We are a member of Wild Scotland, the Scottish Wildlife and Nature Tourism Operators Association – a group of tourism professionals committed to providing a first class wildlife-watching experience. One of the organisation’s aims is to raise awareness about sustainable tourism while ensuring visitors have a quality experience, identifying and promoting best practice and adopting appropriate codes of conduct.
